The team for Saturday included Luke Curtis , Max Holland, Tom Gabbott, Tom Hage, Ben Cupper, Lawrie Hage, Matt Woods, Rich Owen, Tom Mitchener, Alex Diesel, Ollie Cox, George Wilshaw,. We gathered on a very blustery Saturday morning for the match against local team, Lansdown. The team started well with Tom Hage scoring the opening goal, closely followed by a goal for Ollie Cox on his Badges debut. A fantastic performance from Rich Owen saw, in the 15 minutes he played for, 2 goals and 1 assist, Rich could not play the whole game as he had a later fixture. The half time score was 4-2 to Cheltenham . In the second half the tables turned and Lansdown got their act together, making a great comeback, however our life was not made easy by a rather over enthusiastic and overly resistant adult in Lansdown’s defence, despite this Cheltenham had many second half chances from Tom Hage, Alex Diesel and George Wilshaw, most set up by Tom Mitchener and Matt Woods, saw no further goals on the board. Lansdown could have scored more if it had not been for the fine efforts of Tom Gabbott, Luke Curtis in goal, Lawrie Hage(who is not used to playing in defence!), and Man of the Match Ben Cupper. The final sore was 5-4 to Lansdown, a great comeback from them.
