Cheltenham Junior Hockey Association were delighted to welcome back Ben Marsden to our annual Presentation Evening. Ben, a former CJHA member, had recently returned from Chile where he helped Great Britain secure a place at the next Olympics. A list of the Presentation Night major prize winners appears here.
To start the proceedings old friends Mary and Malcolm Glenister were on hand to present the Alice Glenister trophy to Ruby and Corrie who have done so much to encourage and develop our young goalkeepers.
Ben made a special presentation to you know who!
Sadly Ross, who has been coaching at the Academy, is leaving us to progress his coaching career elsewhere.
Due to pressures of work Sue will be giving up her coaching for the time being, having done so much to develop the skills of our under 10s.
Cherith, our tireless chairman, received a bouquet from Will, another CJHA graduate who has gone on to represent his country.
We were delighted to see a group of "senior juniors" enjoying the evening. Having benefited as members themselves they now play senior hockey but still find time to help with the coaching of today's juniors.
